Natalie Clyne, soprano
Natalie Clyne is very happily returning for her second season with CCA this year! A full time musician and teacher, Natalie enjoys singing music of many styles from classical masterpieces performed on stage at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center, to online collaborations of video game song arrangements. She has spent over a decade singing choral music, opera, jazz, musical theater, and sacred solo and choral repertoire for a variety of organizations. One of Natalie’s most recent projects has her appearing as a nun singing Gregorian chant for Fox’s “The Exorcist” along with three of her fellow CCA members!
Natalie has a home music studio in Mount Prospect where she teaches voice and piano lessons to approximately 50 students of all ages. She has been a voice and piano teacher since 2007 and has coached students in New Jersey, Michigan, and Chicago since that time. Natalie was previously the music teacher and choir director at the Westbrook School for Young Learners in Mount Prospect from 2013 – 2016.
Natalie earned her B.M. in voice performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She then traveled back to her home state of Michigan to complete her M.M. in voice performance as the graduate assistant for the choirs at Eastern Michigan University. Natalie also completed a post-baccalaureate certification in music education during her time at Eastern Michigan. She now resides in her Mount Prospect home with her husband and three very friendly “studio” cats!
